He joined McKinsey in 1977, and has developed some of the most widely used analytical approaches for identifying and capturing opportunities in pricing. He has written articles on pricing that have appeared in publications including the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, and the Harvard Business Review.

In other math textbooks, like one that I have for Differential Equations, I have seen that the example starts on one page and ends on the next page. In the end I don't think I feel I could execute his stated trading approach or maybe if he really gave one.
Areas to improve: more detailed back testing (2 years is not enough to make a claim), options trade at a IV premium to actual IV (and there final probabilities OTM are better than stated) this completely changes all his conclusions, discussion of strangles and straddles, more mechanics of adjustments, use of non-correlation to reduce risk, rolling untested sides.
Highly recommend this book. JoAnn Roe's account of the Columbia River is a remarkable labor of love. To me that's a con because you have to turn the page back and ford in order to figure out the context in the example. Oliver's style lends itself to "just turn another page" and before you know it you're far into it and unwilling to put it down. But this
